![]() I'm old enough to remember when a lot of cars had wipers that would "retract" below the backside of the hood. The rest of the vehicle is great, but these two are some serious flaws. Probably the same way the automatic headlight sensor, that turns on your headlights (and dims your dash) during late day daylight (or as the sun is setting) so the display is impossible to read. How did this make it through cold weather testing? Is there any way to actually get at the wipers and clean them up with the hood down? What if the hood is frozen shut? and there is a foot of snow on top? you have to clear the whole thing just to get at the wipers? You seriously can't be expected to open the hood (or at least unlatch it and raise it slightly) every time you have to clean the windshield?!? ![]() ![]() I've been wondering myself how that wiper parking position will affect cold weather start ups.Īs mentioned before, the wipers can't be raised when they are down, and what happens if the car is covered in snow and ice? Normaly you raise the wipers, scrape the windshield as the car is warming up. ![]()
